Real Time Layflat Inspection: Measures and identifies if the film layflat dimension is within the specified range for that product size (recipe). If the film is outside of the specified range, the machine will come to a controlled stop to replace the roll. If the layflat is too big, the shot timing can be inconsistent causing application failure or a jam condition. If the layflat is too small or under the specified range, it will jam on the mandrel.
End of Film Detection: Identifies the end of roll or a break in the film and stops prior to the airbox entrance. This technology eliminates the need to re-thread film through the entire machine.
